EXPORT QUALITY PRODUCE
Central Otago boasts a rich myriad of attractions.  Rivers that once yielded great quantities of gold now irrigate the countryside which produces the world acclaimed pinot noir wines, delicious stonefruit and export quality lamb and beef that Central Otago is famous for.

RUGGED ELEMENTS
Much of the rich tapestry of the pioneering and goldmining history has been preserved throughout the many small towns which dot the 11,000 km2 countryside  which makes up Central Otago. In the 1860’s goldminers came flooding from all parts of the world for the biggest gold strike since the Klondyke and fortunes were made and lost.  Today the areas precious resources are the orchards, vineyards and farms which battle the rugged elements of the Mediterranean like climate where the summers are long, hot and dry and the winters bitterly cold and snowy.
